Shelby County Speedway will kick off the regular season Saturday the 29th. The first of 18 "Chase to the Championship" nights for the 2023 season. IMCA Late Models, Stock Cars, Northern Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts will all take to the track in their quest to a track championship. We regret to inform you we are cancelling the Awakening Part I. Low temperatures in the overnight hours are a huge part of the problem. While we may focus on daytime high temps, we continue to have nights in the 20s. Friday night appears to be headed that direction as well. It prevents us from turning on the water at the facility so rather than try to do a Saturday/Sunday or Sunday only show, we feel it's best simply cancel.
